Hello from Dodo Payments,
It’s been a head-spinning week-chaotic, productive, and all held together by a shiny new office to brainstorm in.
Let me just start out with a quick note on the Israel-Iran conflict escalating, we’re seeing early signs of stress in global payment corridors - FX volatility, delayed settlements, and rising costs. And with Trump’s America joining in, this could be disastrous for all parties involved.
It’s concerning how the conflict could disrupt global payment flows and don’t want to see economies, especially emerging ones. We’re hoping for peace, soon and lasting.
Here's a quick overview of this week's updates:
UPI just beat VISA at its own game.
It’s wild (but not surprising): India’s UPI is now clocking more transactions than VISA. Bit it makes total sense - UPI is faster, cheaper, mobile-native, and built for the way modern transactions are. And we couldn’t be happier since DodoPayments is the only MoR to support UPI payments.We’ve moved to a larger office in Indiranagar
Our new 40+ seater space on 100 Feet Road marks a significant milestone for Dodo Payments, designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and continued growth.
Dodo’s React Native SDK (Beta)
You can now embed Dodo Payments directly into your iOS and Android apps. With native UI components, PCI-compliant flows, multiple payment methods, and full design flexibility, it’s built for devs who care about both performance and experience.
Now, onto our product updates for the week, and let me say there are so many this week. (always super proud of the tech team led by Ayush for this)
Product Updates
Digital Product Delivery: Instant product delivery with automated fulfillment, customers receive goods right after payment; perfect for e-books and more now!
React Native SDK (Beta): Released our React Native SDK in beta, enabling secure payment processing in native Android and iOS apps with customizable UI components and screens.
New Proration Mode: Introduced full_immediately proration mode, allowing immediate full charges when subscription changes occur, providing more flexible billing options for your business needs.
Adaptive Currency for Subscriptions: Enhanced subscription management with adaptive currency support, automatically adjusting pricing based on customer location and local currency preferences.
Instantaneous On-Demand Processing: Improved processing speed for on-demand charges making it almost instant, reducing transaction times and providing faster payment confirmations.
Verification Form Management: Added comprehensive verification form data viewing capabilities in the Dodo Payments Dashboard verification section.
Subscription Cancellation Enhancement: Implemented subscription cancellation at the end of billing period functionality, now available in both the dashboard and customer portal for improved user experience and billing transparency.
