What is Xenocurrency?

Xenocurrency refers to a currency that is traded or deposited in a market outside of its home country. A common example is the Eurodollar, which consists of U.S. dollars held in banks outside the United States. These currencies are often used in international trade and finance to facilitate transactions without the direct involvement of the issuing country’s domestic banking system.
