Network Token
What is Network Token?
A network token is a unique digital identifier that replaces a customer’s actual card number (PAN) throughout the payment ecosystem. These tokens are issued by the card networks themselves, such as Visa or Mastercard.
Unlike standard tokens, network tokens are interoperable across the entire payment chain and are automatically updated if a card is replaced. This ensures that recurring payments continue to work even if the physical card expires.
