Vietnam is a high-opportunity market for digital products and SaaS. Dodo Payments lets you sell to Vietnamese customers as a Merchant of Record, with checkout, tax handling, and global settlement managed for you. Billing and settlement are handled in USD, and Vietnamese buyers pay with widely used global methods at checkout.

> **Note:** Dodo Payments does not currently support settlement or pricing in **Vietnamese Dong (VND)**. Transactions from customers in Vietnam are processed and settled in **USD**. If you need native VND pricing, that is not available today.

## Supported Payment Methods

Vietnamese customers can complete purchases using global payment methods that work with international cards and wallets. Local-only wallets such as MoMo and ZaloPay are not supported because they require VND settlement.

- **Credit Cards**: Internationally enabled Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, and UnionPay cards work for one-time payments and subscriptions.
- **Debit Cards**: International-enabled debit cards with 3D Secure are supported for one-time payments and subscriptions.
- **Apple Pay**: High-converting on iOS with biometric confirmation; works for cards provisioned to Apple Wallet.
- **Google Pay**: Strong Android checkout option that shortens payment time for cards added to Google Wallet.

Always keep credit and debit cards enabled as fallbacks so any eligible Vietnamese buyer can complete checkout even if their wallet method is unavailable.

## Currency and Pricing

Pricing for Vietnamese customers is displayed and charged in **USD**. Dodo Payments does not support adaptive currency for VND, so local-currency display and VND settlement are not available. For recurring products, present the USD amount, billing interval, and renewal date clearly before confirmation to reduce disputes and support load.

Customers paying with Vietnamese-issued cards will see an FX conversion from their card issuer at the issuer's rate. Make sure your checkout copy sets expectations: prices are in USD, and the issuer handles the VND conversion on the statement.

## Tax and Compliance

As your Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments handles tax registration, collection, and remittance where applicable for digital goods sold into Vietnam. Operationally, you do not need to register for or file Vietnam VAT yourself when selling through Dodo as MoR.
