# Accept Payments in Argentine Peso (ARS)

Argentina is one of the 220+ countries and regions Dodo Payments accepts payments from, so you can sell to Argentine customers today. The Argentine Peso (ARS) is not currently one of the currencies covered by Dodo Payments' Adaptive Currency feature.

That means Argentine customers are charged in your base currency (typically USD) and their card issuer applies its own conversion at the point of sale.

## Currency Handling

ARS is not on the [Adaptive Currency](https://docs.dodopayments.com/features/adaptive-currency) supported-currency list, so:

- **No local-currency display** - Checkout shows your base currency rather than converting prices to ARS
- **Issuer-side conversion** - The customer's bank converts at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee
- **Your settlement is unchanged** - You receive funds in your configured base currency
- **Card coverage is unaffected** - Argentine customers can still pay with global methods

## Pricing Strategy

When selling to customers in Argentina, consider:

- **Price in a stable base currency** - USD pricing avoids repricing against ARS volatility
- **Set expectations at checkout** - Make it clear the charge is in your base currency so the issuer's converted amount is not a surprise
- **Consider purchasing power parity** - [PPP pricing](https://docs.dodopayments.com/features/localized-pricing) lets you set a lower base-currency price for the Argentine market instead of relying on conversion

## Supported Payment Methods

## Refunds

Refunds are issued in the currency the customer was originally charged. Because the charge settles in your base currency, the customer's bank converts the refund back at its prevailing rate, so the ARS amount they receive may differ slightly from what they originally paid.
